Godox has unveiled a new modular handheld lighting system featuring the LC500R Air Inflatable Light Stick and LR150 Air Inflatable Ring Light. Designed with mobile creators in mind, this flexible system can be adapted for portraits, beauty, streaming, and beyond, all in a flexible, lightweight package.
Creators now have the freedom of modularity, from the base up, with a swappable battery handle, controller, and inflatable heads for even greater portability. Choose between the LR150 Air ringlight head, or the LC500R Air wand light head, which replaces the LC500R’s solid head design. The result is a wand that’s 30% lighter, making for a noticeably easier handheld experience.
Built to deliver soft, long-range output, the LC500R Air can reach a peak of 2660 lux at 0.5m, providing nearly 3x the brightness of other lights in its class. Additionally, the LR150 Air ring light delivers 1760 lux at 0.5m. Both deliver bright yet soft illumination for a variety of uses—but with that power comes the need for a long-lasting battery.
Purpose-built for longevity, the battery has been integrated into the BG-LC5A handle itself, enabling a clean, cable-free design in an ultra-lightweight package. The LC500R Air and LR150 Air offer an impressive battery life of 92-plus minutes at full power with the swappable battery handle.
With ¼” thread attachment points and magnetic mounting capabilities, this system is ready for all manner of applications. Hold it in hand or mount it as needed for your style of shooting. The possibilities are truly endless, and this extends to its on location functionality as well.
This series offers versatile color control, with bi-color modes spanning from 2800-6500K with 11 special effects. Full color mode reaches 2800-10000K, with 14 dynamic effects, providing creators with the tools and freedom to shape the atmosphere and tone of their scene perfectly. All of which can easily be dialed in via the front-facing control panel or via the Godox Light App.
The wand head can be further modified with the addition of optional light shaping tools like the LC5AD diffuser or the LC5AG grid to soften and focus the light respectively. Additionally, ring light head users can mount their smartphone right in the middle with the LR15A-MagM Magsafe Mount.
