Fujifilm continues to revamp its lineup by announcing an update to its toughest point-and-shoot camera. The FinePix XP130, successor to the XP120, offers 16.4MP stills and Full HD 1080p video in a sleek yet sturdy housing that comes in five different colors: yellow, lime, silver, blue, or white. Its waterproof and shockproof construction, including a rated submersible depth of 65.6', make this camera an ideal choice for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Among other new features, the camera comes with Bluetooth LE connectivity that allows you to transfer your pictures and videos automatically to a smartphone or tablet as you shoot. Geo-tagging capabilities are offered via this Bluetooth connection, as well, so you can choose to embed location and time information from your smart device into the pictures. As for the artistic aspect, the XP130 introduces a double-exposure mode that allows you to combine two different moments into a single photo easily, and offers an electronic level so you can make sure your camera is aligned with your subject and the horizon.
On the outside, the camera offers many of the same impressive durability features as the XP120. It is completely sealed from dust, boasts waterproof capabilities at up to 65.6' in depth, is shockproof from to 5.8', and resistant to freezing in temperatures as low as 14°F. These features combined make this point-and-shoot remarkably resilient and allow it to be used in a wide variety of environments, whether above ground or underwater.
