MindShift Gear Releases Fully Featured Shoulder Bags and Backpacks

Aiming at further diversifying its lineup, MindShift Gear has come out with a new line of shoulder bags, named “Exposure.” These outdoor-oriented cases come in two sizes, tailored for 13 or 15" laptops, and are available in either classic black or a gray pattern with orange details, dubbed Solar Flare. Also recently announced is a smaller version of the BackLight backpack with waist belt, featuring a volume of 18L and seen in both Charcoal or Woodland Green. These releases are sure to please photographers who need quick access to their gear, but still want something that can be comfortably carried during a hike or long trip.

The Exposure shoulder bags have several weather-proofing features that improve their durability and help protect your gear from the elements. These include a durable water-repellent coating applied to the exterior, the use of weather-resistant YKK zippers and anodized aluminum parts, and weather wings on each side of the lid for diverting rain water. For maximum protection, they also provide you with a seam-sealed rain cover that can be used in more extreme situations.

Each bag can hold a DSLR or mirrorless camera with telephoto zoom and two to five extra lenses in its main compartment, depending on the size chosen, while also offering a dedicated interior pouch for your laptop or tablet. On the outside, two zippered pockets give you plenty of space for your phone and small items, while a side pocket with a cinch strap is ideal for a water bottle. And on the day you decide to bring a tripod, you can simply use the attachment straps at the bottom of the case for easy transport. The bag can be carried cross-body by wearing its shoulder strap, via a top handle, or by running the luggage handle from a travel suitcase through its trolley sleeve in the back.

As for the BackLight 18L backpack, it offers all the storage features of its larger cousins including front and side tripod attachment points, dedicated laptop space, and several small accessory pockets. The main compartment is the back panel and it fits a DSLR or mirrorless camera, two to three lenses, and a flash all at once, with included padded dividers so you can keep things organized. And when wearing the backpack with its waist belt, you can simply take it off your shoulders at any time and rotate the pack to the front of your body so you can quickly grab your camera or switch lenses. With such a versatile design, this bag is ideal for covering long distances while keeping easy access to your equipment.
