Just in time for summer travel, Olympus has announced a new camera kit that is sure to please photographers requiring a versatile one-lens solution for wide-angle to super telephoto applications. The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Camera with 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens Kit (Black) combines the celebrated OM-D E-M1 Mark II with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 lens. This lens offers the 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-400mm, enabling a broad range of focal lengths to cover most shooting situations. The lens, like the camera, offers weather-resistant construction in a compact form factor. The camera’s Dual F.A.S.T. 121-point autofocus system combined with the lens’s Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) AF system contribute to its fast, smooth and quiet focusing performance. The in-camera 5-Axis Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization reduces blur even when using the lens at its 400mm equivalency. This is a kit that will please a range of enthusiasts, especially those who prefer to carry one lightweight yet comprehensive lens. What new type of photography will you explore this summer? Tell us about it.
