Today, at PhotoPlus Expo 2019, Rokinon is announcing a new lens for full-frame Canon mirrorless cameras: the AF 14mm f/2.8 RF Lens. This lens continues Rokinon’s push into autofocusing lenses and should deliver excellent image quality at an affordable price. It is an ultra-wide-angle optic and is a great addition to the still-growing Canon RF lineup, providing photographers with the first native option at this focal length.
The lens offers high-quality design and aluminum-alloy construction. It features aspherical, extra-low dispersion, and high-refractive index glass for minimizing aberrations, while an Ultra Multi Coating limits flare and ghosting. It is weather sealed and claims low coma for use in astrophotography. Additionally, the rear of the lens has a gel filter holder.
Are you looking to add an ultra-wide lens to your Canon mirrorless system? Want to pick up this Rokinon? Let us know what you think in the Comments section, below!
