Trigger Distant Flashes with the Metz WT-1 Wireless System

0Share

Get long-range and reliable wireless triggering of your flashes, including full TTL support and high-speed sync, with the just released WT-1 Wireless System from Metz. With versions available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras, many shooters will be able to find something that works for them, since each version supports the TTL protocols of their respective brands. The system boasts an incredible 984' range with a 2.4GHz frequency that helps limit interference. Users will also have access to 15 channels and three groups for further control over their lighting setup.

While TTL is a useful and practical tool, photographers will have access to various manual control options, as well. Users can also place a flash on the transceiver’s TTL pass-through shoe for on-camera lighting, in addition to any off-camera units. The receiver unit is easy to set up where an additional flash is needed, thanks to a foot with a 1/4"-20 thread for mounting. The transceiver and receiver offer a flash sync port, as well, for connecting to studio strobes.

Shooters will be able to pick up the WT-1 as a Transceiver and Receiver Kit, Receiver Only, or Transceiver Only configurations. This will enable users to build out an ideal kit for their needs.
