Voigtlander has officially unveiled their latest lens update: the Ultron 40mm f/2 SL IIS Aspherical Lens. Designed for full-frame Nikon F-mount cameras, this slightly-wider-than-normal focal length provides a very natural perspective that makes it a much-loved choice for many shooters. This lens also features a fast f/2 aperture for shallow depth of field and incorporates a double-sided aspherical lens and ultra-high refractive index glass to minimize aberrations. A manual focus ring offers tactile control and has an extended helicoid focusing system that reduces the minimum focus distance to 9.8” for a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:4. The lens has a physical aperture ring and can support aperture control from the camera body as well due to having an Ai-S coupler and CPU built-in. Additionally, the all-metal construction provides a classic feel with added durability.
The lens will be available with either a black rim or a silver rim and users can pick up an optical LH-40 IIS Lens Hood to help minimize the potential for flare.

EF mount update on it's way?
Hi DK,
Voigtlander doesn't currently have an EF-mount version of this lens or its predecessor, so I think it would be highly unlikely for them to release one at this point.
I own and love the EF predecessor but yes, it seems like if they haven't released it along with the Nikon mount, it's probably not coming.
