Yongnuo Launches Trio of Full-Frame Prime Lenses

Yongnuo’s refreshed prime lineup brings some much-needed life into a range of lenses that can cover a variety of photo subjects. The ultra-wide-angle full-frame YN 14mm f/2.8, available in both Canon EF and Nikon F mounts, offers a broad 114° view that is suitable for landscape, nature, night, and architecture photography. A combination of aspherical, dispersive, and ultra-low dispersion elements throughout the lens help reduce aberrations, flares, and ghosting that are found in lenses this wide. The lenses also have a DC motor for reliably fast and accurate autofocus, in addition to a toggle switch that lets you jump from auto to manual focus. There is also a convenient micro-USB port on the lens barrel that will let you update the firmware without a dock.

Moving up the focal length scale brings us to the full-frame Canon EF-mount YN 50mm f/1.4. This everyday shooter features an incredibly bright maximum aperture that makes it also ideal for portraits and low-light photography. Its seven-blade diaphragm gives you silky smooth bokeh. Additionally, a multi-layer coating on lens elements reduces ghosting and flares from stray light entering the lens.

Finally, we arrive at the Canon EF-mount YN 60mm f/2 MF macro lens. This full-frame close-up lens can focus on subjects as near as 9.2" away with a life-size 1:1 magnification ratio, perfect for photographing small objects or the details. A bright f/2 aperture means you have exceptional control over depth of field and a manual focus ring with printed distance scale means dialing in focus is easy. And, like the other lenses, it has a micro-USB port on the barrel for firmware updates.
