Alesis has released its latest update to the Q-Series USB-MIDI keyboard controllers with velocity sensitivity and synth-action keys, making them well suited for stage and studio use. The controllers provide all the essential controls you’ll need to help give your playing character. There are three models available; Q88 MKII, Q49 MKII, and the Qmini.

The Q-88 MKII features 88 full-sized, synth-action keys plus octave and transpose buttons and pitch bend and modulation wheels for added expression. Transport and directional buttons control key functions of your favorite DAW software. You can also add an optional sustain pedal, while a data slider is re-assignable for quick parameter control. The keyboard is USB bus powered but can also function in stand-alone fashion with a separately sold USB power adapter. The Q-49 MKII has the same features as its larger brother, but with 49 full-sized, synth action keys.

The Qmini is designed to be the ultimate on-the-go songwriting and production companion. The controller features 32 mini synth-action keys with velocity sensitivity, pitch and modulation buttons, octave transpose buttons, and a volume knob that is freely assignable. There is no sustain pedal input jack, but the controller does offer a sustain button. All three controllers can send MIDI commands for program / patch changes and more.
