New wireless microphones in bodypack and boundary form factors feature an increased battery life of 17 hours, while the new handheld mics offer up to 28 hours. The transmitters have a new matrix display to show assigned room, range, and remaining battery life, among other parameters. Handheld microphones are available with various Shure microphone heads, and boundary transmitters are available in either cardioid or omnidirectional pickup patterns.
