Looking for an easy way to record vocals and voice-overs? The ART C1USB Cardioid Condenser Mic affords a simple and effective recording solution, delivering professional performance with its studio-quality side address FET microphone with an integrated direct-to-digital USB 2.0 audio interface.

The C1USB is a cardioid condenser USB microphone that has the ability to operate in stand-alone fashion with any Windows- or Mac-based recording system. In addition to the analog-to-digital conversion (A/D), the unit also provides an integrated digital-to-analog (D/A) converter, which outputs to the onboard 1/8" headphone output jack and includes volume and mix controls on the chassis of the mic. The volume control sets the overall listening level in the headphones, while the mix control allows the user to blend the computer audio (playback) and the source (microphone) to the headphone mix with zero latency. Additional controls on the microphone include an input gain to control the proper input levels to your recording software, a -10 dB pad switch to ensure distortion-free recording of louder source signals, and a 100 Hz low-frequency filter to minimize rumble and artifacts, while providing improved clarity and presence in your recordings.

The C1USB is a side-address condenser microphone that utilizes a 32mm wide diaphragm gold-sputtered capsule and provides a cardioid polar pattern for focused sound and minimized background. The integrated USB audio interface provides a recording resolution of 16-bit/48 kHz with a maximum SPL handling of up to 130 dB and a broad 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. Other specifications provided include an 86 dB signal-to-noise ratio, a -35dB sensitivity, and an equivalent noise level of 20 dB (A-weighted). The C1USB is crafted from an all-metal chassis with a stainless-steel wire-mesh windscreen and ships with a zippered carrying bag, a desktop mic stand, a hard-tail mic stand adapter, and a 10' USB cable.
