Introducing the RODE Wireless Micro

RODE just announced the Wireless Micro, a new iteration of their popular wireless system now retooled for smartphones. The Micro is designed to fit inside your pocket and connects directly to your mobile device via USB-C and Lightning connectors without requiring additional cables. It’s available in both USB-C and Lighting versions, as well as black and white colorways.

The Micro includes two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones that facilitate 2-person audio recording in your next vlog, interview, or livestream. They automatically pair with the receiver for quick setup and intuitive operation. Intelligent GainAssist technology ensures your audio levels are clear in virtually any environment without needing to mess with settings. The transmitters communicate with the receiver unit from up to 328’ away and can handle up to 135 dB SPLs with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range.

Internal rechargeable batteries in each transmitter keep the system running for up to 7 hours at a time. The included charging case provides two additional charges for an extra 14 hours of operation—extending the system runtime to 21 hours total. An ultra-compact and lightweight transmitter design makes for a more discreet appearance in comparison to the Wireless GO models. Additional furry windscreens help ensure clear outdoor recording. The system works in tandem with the RODE Capture video recording app for even more control over your video and audio settings.
