Following on the success of the DL-Series mixers, Mackie has produced a new small-form mixer aimed at solo performers, small bands, and commercial applications. The ProDX Series combines the mixing tools and wireless connectivity from their larger “DL” brethren, but in an incredibly compact enclosure with an intuitive design that is easy to learn and operate. The compact size slips into a bag or backpack and fits into the tightest spaces. The integrated control bridge holds your phone for a quick view of your mix.
Each input channel features a 3-band EQ, a “no hassle” compressor, and 16 great-sounding ReadyFX including reverbs, delays, and choruses, while each output offers a flexible graphic EQ for fine-tuning your mix. The single knob design allows for quick and easy hardware adjustment over all input levels, main levels, and FX levels for inputs, as well as FX selection (up to 4 FX), headphones, and Aux/Monitor levels. The MixerConnect app is compatible iOS and Android, and offers complete control all parameters including the 3-band EQ, high-pass filter, compression, limiting, FX sends and returns, as well as Bluetooth settings and mutes for all inputs and outputs.
The ProDX4 features two balanced XLR/1/4" combo inputs with Wide-Z preamps for a simplified connection of microphones, guitars, keyboards, and more with no gain adjustment needed. Additionally, a single 1/8" stereo input is available for connecting portable music devices, or use the Bluetooth capability to stream music wirelessly to channels 3/4 on the mixer. The main outputs are offered via a pair of ¼" jacks, as well as a single ¼" aux output for connecting a monitor or feed to a different zone. The 1/8" headphone output includes independent volume control of the main mix.
The ProDX8 features six balanced XLR/1/4" combo inputs with the same Wide-Z preamps for connecting a wide variety of sources without having to adjust the gain. Channels 7/8 offer an 1/8" stereo input for connecting portable music players and also shares the Bluetooth streaming input. The main outputs are offered via a pair of ¼" jacks, as well as two ¼" aux outputs for connecting different monitors or feeds to different zones. The 1/8" headphone output also includes independent volume control of the main mix. An optional mixer bag is available that is compatible with both mixers and features high density foam and a durable nylon enclosure to help protect the ProDX from the rigors of on-the-road wear and tear.
