At NAMM 2018, Audio-Technica unveiled the next-generation 3000- and 5000-Series wireless microphone systems. Yes, with all the UHF frequency bandwidth getting smaller, wireless microphone manufacturers are revamping their systems to compensate for the shrinking spectrum. The new fourth-generation 3000 Series wireless systems and the third-generation 5000 Series wireless systems have been designed for easy setup, versatile operation, and richly detailed high-fidelity sound.
The 3000 Series features 60 MHz tuning bandwidth, and offers twice the MHz tuning range as the previous versions. This gives users the power and flexibility to operate within the congested UHF spectrum. In addition, the 5000 Series wireless systems have been designed for use on professional tours, in stadiums, concert halls, festivals, houses of worship and more. Complete with a dual receiver that processes high and low frequencies separately, the new 5000 Series wireless provides the highest-quality live sound for artist, broadcasters, and presenters, worldwide.
Furthermore, the 5000 Series receiver has been update with a tuning bandwidth of 148 MHZ, and users now have the option to select a standard receiver with two XLR outputs, or a receiver that also includes a Dante output. Finally, we are debuting the next generation of the company’s wireless systems here at B&H, so come on by, look, and give them a listen.
