NAMM 2018: New Line 6 HX Effects Helix-Like Guitar Multi-Effects Processor for Your Pedalboard

0Share

Since the launch of its revolutionary, kidney-shaped POD modeling device for guitarists, twenty years ago, Line 6 has remained at the forefront of guitar amp and effects modelling technology. Now at NAMM 2018, the company unveils the new HX Effects floorboard guitar processor, an impressive addition to the award-winning Helix family of multi-effect processors, which recreate amps, cabs, mics, and effects with accuracy and precision.

Featuring a compact, pedalboard-friendly format, the HX Effects packs more than 100 effects taken from the Helix hardware and software processors, and lets you run up to nine effects simultaneously. It also comes with additional legacy effects from the Line 6 M-Series and Stompbox Modeler pedals, including libraries from M13, M9, M5, DL4, MM4, FM4, DM4, and Verbzilla.

A straightforward and intuitive interface eliminates complex menu diving, and replaces it with easy interaction. Edit effects effortlessly using the eight capacitive-sensing footswitches, six scribble strip LCDs, and color-coded LED rings. Simply touch a footswitch with your finger to jump instantly to any effect, quickly adjust a parameter, or assign controllers.

More than a convenient alternative to transporting and maintaining analog gear, the HX Effects offers vintage and modern tube amp models with an authentic sound and feel, which is designed to interact with your playing like the originals. With extensive routing options, the unit can be used on its own or easily integrated with traditional pedalboards and amps, in the studio or on stage.
