Expanding on the success of the company’s G3 line and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of its Evolution wireless systems, Sennheiser is releasing the Evolution Wireless G4 line, sure to be a star at NAMM 2018. Noteworthy changes include greater RF power, longer transmission ranges and battery life, faster configuration, advanced integration and compatibility with existing Sennheiser products such as the LSP 500 loudspeaker, and more. The new G4 lineup includes the 100 Series, the 300 Series, the 500 Series, and the IEM Series—all of which are compatible with G1, G2, and G3 wireless equipment.
The G4 100 Series boasts lighter aluminum SKM handheld transmitters, now with a programmable mute switch, a high-contrast LCD, blue sync LED, and a dedicated Escape button. A rackmount is included with each 100 Series set and daisy-chaining is supported for up to twelve systems.
The G4 300 Series offers up to 88 MHz and thirty-two channels, plus selectable RF output power at 10, 30, or 50 mW. The bodypack transmitters have enhanced protection against moisture and the receivers grant an OLED display, automatic dimming, and an easy-to-use jog wheel. Use the new headset mic or utilize existing capsules and microphones.
The G4 500 Series delivers the same basic feature set as the 300 Series with different microphone options—a lavalier, a plug-on transmitter, or both.
All 100, 300, and 500 receivers feature a new white-bodied design, while the IEM receiver sports a smooth gray finish. To suit the demands of film and television production, houses of worship, and live stage applications, the components are available individually and in a multitude of configurations and frequency zones—470 to 516 MHz, 516 to 558 MHz, and 566 to 608 MHz.
