Attention guitarists! Your "axe" deserves solid, characterful tone whether you're practicing in your room, playing on stage, performing on the street, or recording in a studio. The latest releases from Blackstar include combo amps, tube heads, and speaker cabinets designed to deliver a powerful combination of sonic satisfaction, versatility, and convenience without draining your liquid assets or getting you into trouble with the SPL police.
Perfect for open-mic nights and busking around town, the Super FLY can simultaneously handle an acoustic or electric guitar, a microphone or line-level source, and wired or wireless music playback from your mobile device. Each channel offers 2-band EQ, reverb, and volume controls, plus adjustable gain on channel two. Its 12W output is great for driving its dual 3" speakers and even the 2 x 3" extension cabinet (available separately). The Super FLY Pack includes the Super FLY, a Super FLY extension cab, a power supply, and a gig bag. Add a rechargeable battery and the top hat pole mount adapter (both available separately) for expanded versatility on gigs.
For practicing and recording at home, or playing while traveling or at parties, check out the limited-edition versions of the ultra-compact FLY 3, available in purple paisley for the Bluetooth-equipped model, and pink paisley for the non-Bluetooth model. Two channels, three watts, a 3" speaker, and instant fun. Speaking of limited editions, there's a black tweed version of the ID:Core Stereo 10 V2 stereo combo amp; all the familiar features and flexibility in new digs!
Blackstar's HT series gets a hefty expansion with MKII editions of the 1W and 5W heads and combos, plus a 20W head and 1 x 12" combo. Considering that each one offers real tube tone, reverb, selectable power reduction (on the 5W and 20W models), a USB output, and an improved emulated output, the MKII versions of the HT-1R, HT-5R, and HT-20R are sure to please at any power. Need a cab? How about the HT-112 MKII 1x12" speaker cabinet, or the HT-212 MKII 2x12" model? Both have a removable rear panel to allow semi-open- or closed-back configuration for easy optimization of low end.
The HT-20R can also be obtained as a head and 2 x 12" cab tweaked for the raw rocker, Jared James Nichols. Known for riffing between bluesy melodies, strut-your-stuff classic rock, and outright shred-fest leads, he relies on Blackstar for his tone. Once you hear his tunes, you'll get an idea of what his signature amp can do for you.
Filling out the range of new goods is the Studio 10, a 1 x 12" 10W combo amplifier available in two versions—the 6L6-equipped Studio 10 presents a bright American sound, while the EL34-equipped Studio 10 delivers a more bluesy tone. Each Studio 10 offers adjustable gain/volume, tone, and reverb, plus a selectable boost that can be turned on/off via the supplied footswitch. Topped off with an emulated output, a series effects loop, and multiple speaker outputs, the Studio 10 is a capable combo for studio and stage.
For beefing up your sound or scaling down your setup, Blackstar has an amp to answer the call. Stop by the B&H SuperStore or visit our website to check them out!
