Since the DDJ-200 is compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Mac and Windows computers, you can use what you have—well, unless you're running a machine that belongs in a museum. Simply connect the DDJ-200 to your device via USB, then load up a compatible app such as Algoriddim djay (to use tunes from Spotify Premium), MWM edjing Mix (to mix tracks from SoundCloud and Deezer), or Pioneer DJ's WeDJ or rekordbox dj. Since the DDJ-200 includes a rekordbox dongle and access to WeDJ/rekordbox features that normally require in-app purchases, you'll be free to use WeDJ or rekordbox DJ to mix songs from iTunes, Beatport LINK, or SoundCloud Go+. To ensure user-friendly operation and allow easy transitions to larger controllers, the DDJ-200 sports the layout of a traditional DJ controller. There are two decks, each with a large jog wheel, a tempo slider, play/pause and cue buttons, beat sync, and eight performance pads that provide quick triggering of hot cues, pad FX, samples, and more. Between the decks resides a 2-channel mixer, also arranged in the style of traditional DJ gear. Both channels boast 3-band EQ, CFX (color FX), fader-based level control.
