Pioneer DJ Releases a New Pro Mixer and Flagship Multi-Players

0Share

It doesn’t matter if you’re livestreaming a fresh set from your home or juicing up crowds at the club; when you’re at the top of your game, you deserve DJ gear that looks and performs on your level. Pioneer DJ’s latest drops live right in that pro category—the new CDJ-3000 flagship multi-player (in black or white) and the DJM-900NXS2 professional 4-channel mixer, now available in white, as well as the already-popular black finish.

Compared to the CDJ-2000, the CDJ-3000 responds faster, sounds better, and provides a gang of features tailored to make your performances even more fluid than ever. The heart of the CDJ-3000 beats strongly, thanks to an MPU (micro-processing unit), marking a first for Pioneer DJ. This MPU and the Gigabit Ethernet connection enable tracks and Hot Cues to be loaded quicker than before, and the MPU opens functions that previously were not possible. The CDJ-3000 is also a Hardware Unlock device for rekordbox, further expanding its capabilities.

In addition to utilizing a new audio design, the CDJ-3000 boasts a 9" high-resolution touchscreen, larger and brighter than the one found on the CDJ-2000. With new controls and functions, including category shortcuts, Touch Preview, Touch Cue, Stacked Waveform, and 3Band Waveform, you’ll find it more efficient to switch tracks and nail down mix points. Plus, you get double the Hot Cue buttons, Beat Jump hardware buttons, Key Sync for harmonic mixing, and an 8-Beat Loop button. As if that weren’t enough, the CDJ-3000 also sports a redesigned jog wheel for ultra-smooth action.

Whether you get one in the new white finish or traditional black, the DJM-900NXS2 is a perfect companion for the CDJ-3000. This 4-channel digital mixer is equipped with Pioneer DJ’s first 64-bit mixing processor, refined EQ and fader curves, and much more. The plentiful I/O channels—an independent send/return, four phono inputs, four line inputs, an integrated 4-in/5-out USB soundcard, four digital coaxial inputs, and a digital coaxial output, just to name a few—ensure versatile connectivity for anything from old-school turntables to a laptop and an iPad. Speaking of versatility, the DJM-900NXS2 supports DVS control of TRAKTOR PRO 3 and Serato DJ Pro, integration with TC Supply’s ShowKontrol, and compatibility with the DJM-REC iOS app.
