When it comes to keeping up with the high-energy sets of demanding professional DJs and competitive turntablists, RANE is well known in festivals, club circuits, and underground battles and has once again stepped in to elevate the platform with the release of MKII versions of its Twelve motorized turntable controller and Seventy-Two scratch mixer.
For those who don't already know, the Twelve MKII is a 4-deck 12" motorized turntable controller offering the accuracy (3600 ticks of platter resolution) and feel of vinyl without the hassle of dealing with busted needles, wonky tonearms, and pesky feedback. The MKII version boasts integration with Serato DJ Pro, Traktor, and Virtual DJ software, DVS Audio control, access to track browse/select and instant doubles via USB, a plunger-style start/stop button, and a new OLED screen showing BPM and USB control selection.
Of course, this is fresh icing on the tasty cake established by the original Twelve; the MKII version still has the incredible feature set of the first Twelve, including solid steel construction, a high-torque motor with Hi/Low settings, selectable platter speeds, hot cue triggers, a rotary motor-off switch for classic wind down effects, a stereo RCA output for DVS timecode, and 8/16/50% pitch with a 100mm dual-resolution slider. Plus, the Twelve MKII's integrated USB MIDI interface lets you connect it to your computer or to the Seventy-Two MKII.
Speaking of the Seventy-Two MKII, this 2-channel Serato scratch mixer makes sure that you can tap into everything Serato DJ Pro software has to offer. Like the first iteration of the Seventy-Two, the MKII model utilizes a robust steel chassis, 16 MPC-style performance pads, a 4.3" touchscreen with a moving wave display, dual Flex FX engines, and comprehensive I/O—two Neutrik XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs, RCA session inputs and outputs, balanced XLR main outputs, balanced 1/4" booth outputs, USB connectivity for the Twelve, and dual USB ports for DJ hand-offs.
With the MKII, you also get three upgraded MAG FOUR faders with adjustments for reverse, contour, and cut-in, customizable external and internal crossfader tension, two aux or phono/CD DVS inputs via RCA jacks, and custom parameter control for toggling between instant doubles, silent cue, and sync. Let it be known that the Seventy-Two MKII also comes with a Serato DJ Pro DVS license and Pitch n Time plus Serato DVS Vinyl, so you'll be all set on the software side.
To juice up your own performance, sharpen your skills, and get the crowds even more hyped, make the RANE Twelve MKII and Seventy-Two MKII the centerpieces of your DJ setup. Stop by the B&H SuperStore or visit our website to learn more!
