Building upon the success of the classic Jupiter series, Roland’s latest flagship synthesizer provides a sound and feature set designed for today’s music producers, sound designers, and performing musicians. Harnessing Roland’s ZEN-Core advanced synthesis engine, the Jupiter-X can generate a stunning array of tones and sounds, from classic analog and vintage digital to modern synthesis sounds. You'll find the sounds of the Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-101, XV-5080, TR-808, TR-909, CR-78, and much more. The instrument features 4,000 preset tones with 256 user tones, 90 drum kits, and 256 scenes. Fine-tune and finesse your sound with the onboard multi-effects, which include more than 90 types of overdrive, chorus, reverb, delay, compression, and EQ.
The 5-part multitimbral synthesizer offers four synth parts with a dedicated drum part, allowing you to craft layered sounds into a complete track. And with a polyphony of up to 256 voices, you’ll never worry about the dreaded voice stealing that plagues other synthesizers. Each part includes its own intelligent arpeggiator that generates phrases and beats to energize live performances and destroy writer’s block. Input notes, rhythms, and phrases and let the I-Arpeggio work its magic. What’s more, the generated patterns can be customized and exported to your DAW.
The Jupiter-X is constructed with an all-metal enclosure with premium materials used throughout. The 61-note keyboard provides aftertouch, while the front panel is generously populated with controls for fast and effective editing of parameters. Additionally, there are two wheels (pitch-bend and modulation), two assignable sliders, and three assignable switches for customized performance control. A graphic color LCD provides concise feedback over parameters and menus.
The Jupiter-X features two XLR outputs, two ¼" outputs, and both ¼" and 3.5mm headphones outputs. Should a monitor or PA be unavailable, the instrument offers a built-in stereo speaker system, complete with full-range drivers and tweeters. The Jupiter-X offers MIDI DIN in and out, as well as a computer USB connection and a USB memory connection for transferring sounds and backing up your projects. You can also utilize the instrument’s MIDI-over-Bluetooth for wireless operation.
The ZEN-core synth engine is ever expanding, with fresh new content being made available regularly. The ZEN-Core sound engine is the latest platform from Roland and allows for the saving and sharing of patches between the Jupiter X and Jupiter Xm, in addition to any other ZEN-Core compatible device.
