If you’re a solo content creator looking to invest in improved audio but don’t need an additional transmitter, Sennheiser has got you covered. The new Profile Wireless is designed as a single-person microphone system with 32-bit float recording for creators on the go. Designed with the same components as the two-person version, the system maintains Sennheiser sound quality in a compact form factor.
Connectivity is endless thanks to the included male USB-C and Lightning adapters for smartphones, as well as a 3.5mm TRS cable for cameras. The dual-channel receiver can mount to the top of your mirrorless or DSLR with the included cold shoe mount adapter and allows you to record analog or 24-bit / 48 kHz digital audio outputs with ease. Toggle between stereo, mono, and safety channel recording modes to protect the integrity of your sound and mitigate unforeseen interruptions.
The transmitter unit is compact in size and can be secured to your lapel using the integrated clip or included magnet mount. A threaded socket on the clip can also support attachment to a separately available desktop stand for gaming setups. For extra recording assurance, the transmitter features 16GB of internal storage which can record up to 30 hours of 32-bit float audio. Recording 32-bit float audio eliminates clipping on the recording side and ensures that even very low sounds can be normalized without adding noise. Backup recording can be toggled manually or automatically if your wireless signal falters. If you do need a more discreet appearance, a 3.5mm input jack supports separately available lavalier microphones.
Control over the system is intuitive thanks to the receiver’s OLED touchscreen and multifunction button. Monitor real-time audio levels and battery status, adjust mic gain, engage low-cut filtering, mute, or manage recording all with the auto-rotating screen. Internal batteries keep the system running for up to 7 hours at a time. Store the components inside the carrying pouch and keep everything organized. If you want to expand your system in the future, purchase an additional transmitter and charging bar to complete the two-person configuration.
