Spectrasonics Keyscape Virtual Instrument with Special Sonic Qualities

0Share

People who’ve played around with Omnisphere or Trilian know just how special the sonic qualities of Spectrasonics’ virtual instruments can be; now, with this new software bundle, the company has done it again—this time modelling 36 classic collector keyboards and giving you realistic digital renderings thereof.

Providing you with up to 32 layers of velocity switching per patch, this synth aims to recreate the sound of many prized pianos, organs, synths, and more, down to the imperfections which made them “holy grails” to begin with. Mechanical noise, pedal noise, release noise, circuit-modeled amplifiers, it’s all been emulated to a tee, with each patch giving you both a custom control panel particular to each real-world instrument, and an expression profile closely matching the original keyboard.

Of course, this being software, the library offers more than reproduction; you also get the opportunity to access hybrid “duo” sounds, which combine various instruments, as well as full Omnisphere integration, to boot. With 77GB of sounds boasting Spectrasonics’ sonic signature, you know it’s going to be good.
