Tascam DR-10L Pocket-Sized Digital Audio Recorder with Lavalier Mic

5Share

Designed for the professional videographer or creative filmmaker, the Tascam DR-10L solves the problem of capturing audio on the move without the headache of wires or the unpredictability of a wireless setup. Building on the success of the DR-10X and the DR-10SG, the DR-10L marries the Tascam portable mini-recorder with a high-performance lavalier mic. Easy to use and easy to wear, the DR-10L can become your secret weapon in the war against poor production audio.

The omnidirectional lavalier includes a mic clip and windscreen and features a 63" cord, which is affixed via a 1/8" screw-down lock connector, compatible with most Sennheiser lavalier mics or other mics with the same connector. The recorder operates for up to 10 hours on a single AAA battery. The unit records 44.1/48 kHz - 16-/24-bit linear PCM WAV files to microSD/SDHC cards (up to 32GB). The dual recording function records two tracks simultaneously, with the second at a lower level for a safety track in case of distortion, should your subject suddenly scream or shout. If the battery should run out during recording, the recorder will automatically save the file before powering down.

Additional features include a built-in low-cut filter, limiter, and automatic level function. An advanced time-track incrementing function will create new files at regular intervals (about 15 minutes) during recording, which is helpful during editing, while the onboard headphone output and playback function allow for recorded material to be checked immediately. The high-contrast OLED screen is easy to read and provides information on status, recording time, and battery level. Once your recording is finished, a micro USB (Type-B) port provides an easy data exchange with computers.

Hello,

The mic isn't as slim as the Sanken COS-11D or Rode Lavalier. Can I use it with B&H # BUBBIILC30 lavalier covers?

Thanks!

Hi Steve -

True - but there is still enough room to make it work, although it is a snug fit.

Hello

Is the body of the Tascam DR-10L in metal or plastic or... ?

Thank you for your answer...

All the best,

Bernard Crouzet / Diwali films

Hi Bernard -

The body/outer shell is a very hard plastic composite.
