New from Yamaha, the DGX-660 is an 88-key digital piano that features sounds based on samples from the company's CFIIIS 9-foot concert grand piano. The piano boasts a weighted keyboard with varying touch response across the key range, and Damper-Response DSP, allowing for dynamic and expressive playing. To add to the genuine playing experience, the keyboard also provides 192-note polyphony that will easily accommodate two-handed sustained chords with heavy pedaling.
A built-in microphone jack allows the performer to sing along while playing and monitor the results with vocal effects via the built-in amplifiers and speakers. Also included is the Yamaha "You are the Artist" library for learning your favorite hit songs using sheet music or by reading the scrolling notes on the built-in Score Display. Additionally, a six-track song recorder lets you capture performances and song ideas and then allows you to overdub additional layers to spice up the compositions.
The DGX-660 also allows for USB audio recording and playback to a flash drive and comes with a footswitch, music rest, and a keyboard stand. The piano is available in black or white.
