This enhanced DI box offers advanced sound remodeling to help restore tones lost through using conventional acoustic pickups. It also features a high-quality pre-amp, which boosts your signal while keeping your sound lush, resonant, and true to your instrument.
The AC-2 is designed with a musician’s workflow in mind. With 16 source guitar presets, it automatically recovers the sonic characteristics of a variety of guitar types and body shapes. Select from Dreadnought, Single Cutaway, Nylon String, Upright Bass, Parlor, 12 String, and more. Simply choose between piezo or magnet pickup, and the AC-2 is ready to reproduce and amplify your guitar with complete accuracy.
The unit allows you to further shape your tone with a 3-band EQ and an onboard reverb that adds ambience to your sound. A foot-switchable Boost gives you 9 dB of gain, perfect for highlighting solos or switching from strumming to finger picking, keeping your level even. There is also a built-in tuner with large LEDs that makes it easy to tune in dark environments, and an Anti-Feedback function that locates and eliminates problem frequencies, affording you greater peace of mind when performing live.
The AC-2 comes with an XLR balanced output for quickly connecting to any PA mixing board or studio console, and two 1/4" outputs for connecting to a guitar amp, headphones or an audio interface. The unit can be powered for up to three hours with two AA batteries. Alternatively, you can use the included power adapter or the micro-USB port to bus-power via your computer.
