Not long ago, Anton Bauer released their Dionic 26V Gold Mount Plus Batteries for power-hungry cine cameras and lights. Now they've announced two 26V Gold Mount Plus Dual Mounting Plates for using these batteries with the Litepanels Gemini 1x1 and 2x1 Soft Panels and the ARRI SkyPanel S-30C and S-60C Softlights.
Via an XLR connection, these plates connect to the lights and allow you to use two batteries for hours of cordless operation. Plus, the plates support hot-swapping. One of the key features of the 26V batteries is that they recharge quickly. Combine that with the hot-swap capability and you won't need as many batteries on set as you normally would. And with cables out of the way, production will be safer and more efficient.
The Gemini series plate enables you to power the 1x1 and 2x1 lights at 100% intensity, and the SkyPanel lights plate lets you use the S-30C at 100% and S-60C at 50%. Check out the plates and batteries on the B&H website for more information.
