Still hot off the presses, the Panasonic Lumix S1H is getting an extra boost in the future, from a partnership with Atomos that will bring raw over HDMI to the video-centric camera. A new firmware program for the S1H full-frame mirrorless camera enables the output of maximum 5.9K/29.97p RAW video data to the Atomos Ninja V 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder over HDMI. Apple ProRes RAW can also be recorded on the Ninja V.
This update will enable live monitoring and recording of raw video from the S1H during production and ensure maximum flexibility in post-production.
The LUMIX S1H combines the form factor and weight of a mirrorless interchangeable-lens digital camera with pro-video level specs—6K/24p recording at 3:2 aspect ratio, 5.9K/29.97p at 16:9, and 10-bit 59.94p 4K/C4K.
The S1H and Ninja V will be shown off at the upcoming IBC show, in Amsterdam, starting on September 13, 2019. Stay tuned!

Do we have any news on when is going to be release the Raw recording firmware?
Unfortunately no. They postponed the raw video update from this firmware release, so I would hope that it is going to be very soon! Stay tuned, we will be sure to update this post when it is available.
When RAW going to arrive ?
At this time we do not have an exact ETA on the RAW will be released for the S1H.
Seems like they’re not gonna be living up to the early 2020 projections... They basically went dark without a single update on this since September. The S1H is primed to be a true game changer but in true Panasonic form, they’ve done little to show any kind of meaningful timeline. So frustrating.
is raw going to be 12bit?
It is unclear at this time what the exact specs are, but considering its 10-bit normally I would guess that the S1H is going to offer 12-bit linear for raw, much like other similar cameras.
