DZOFilm Welcomes New Additions to the Catta Ace and Zoom Lens Line

1Share

DZOFilm is unlocking new horizons (literally) with its newest addition to the wide-angle Catta Ace and Zoom lines: the 18-35mm zoom lens. Boasting the same T2.9 maximum aperture, focus and zoom rotation, and full-frame sensor coverage as the 35-80mm and 70-135 zoom lenses, the 18-35mm lenses have reliable, familiar features to expand your lens loadout.

These new lenses are constructed with 20 elements in 14 groups and 16 iris blades for smooth, rounded bokeh and color-accurate footage. With a minimum focusing distance of just under 2', this focal range can zoom in to subtle details and zoom out for wider-angled shots. No matter how close or far you zoom, the center of your image remains sharp and in focus.

The 18-35mm lenses come in the Catta FF Sony E mount or Catta Ace FF ARRI PL mount and either white or black finish options. Two-lens kits with PL mounts also include an EF bayonet adapter for expanded camera compatibility. You can even purchase bundled sets of the new zoom range with the 35-80mm or 70-135mm versions, or the whole Catta line, to create one cohesive roundup. Store the entire 3-lens kit in a Hard Case and bring it along for your next shoot.

18-35mm zoom focal lengths hit the sweet spot of filmmaking, allowing you to transition more easily between close-up shots and wider landscape imagery with a simple twist. DZOFilm’s newest addition to the Catta lens range considers the documentary filmmaker or the freelance cinematographer―someone with limited space in their kit wanting to maximize each piece of gear.
