Joby has introduced new products for vloggers, influencers, and mobile creators who need truly portable run-and-gun social media gear.
The Joby Wavo is a compact video mic that works with your smartphone via ¼"-20 screw or any camera with a cold shoe. Unidirectional and shock-isolated to help isolate the speaker’s voice from background noise, each Wavo comes with a foam windshield for additional ambient noise reduction. The Joby Wavo measures 3.6 x 2.8" and weighs 1.4 oz.
Smaller (3.2 x 0.9") and lighter (0.6 oz ) is the Joby Wavo Mobile, an ultra-compact external microphone for use with mobile phones, pro and prosumer cameras, and action cams. The Wavo Mobile mounts directly onto the camera’s cold shoe or via ¼"-20 threads. A windshield cover, TRS, and TRRS cables are included with each unit.
The Joby Wavo Lav Mobile is an omnidirectional clip-on lavalier mic with a 3.5mm TRRS cable for use with smartphones. A TRRS-to-TRS adapter and three windscreens are included for using the Wavo Lav Mobile with cameras.
For lighting the scene, Joby has also introduced the Beamo, a tiny, weatherproof wireless-charging LED lamp.
For beginner vloggers, the GorillaPod Mobile Vlogging Kit contains a GorillaPod Mobile Rig, a Beamo Mini LED, and a Wavo Mobile Microphone for use with your smartphone or smaller camera.
