Manfrotto has added to its new handheld gimbal stabilizer line by announcing the MVG460 Gimbal 460 Kit for small camcorders, mirrorless, or DSLR cameras. The 460 gimbal model is designed to produce smooth-motion shots for a variety of productions, such as vlogging, run-and-gun productions, and ENG production. The Gimbal 460 Kit sets itself apart from other gimbal models by supporting a large camera load up to 10.14 lb, having a battery life of up to 12 hours, and it features two USB outputs to control a follow focus or zoom at the same time as the shutter release.
The 460 supports all the same operations as Manfrotto's 220 model, such as touchscreen operation, 3-axis motor locking, time-lapse, selfie mode, and Inception mode, but it is also compatible with a separately available external hardware Bluetooth controller that has its own accelerometer and can control all the motions of the camera and the lens, as well as the Start/Stop function of the camera. The 460 kit also includes a mini tripod, a USB cable power/camera control kit, and a quick-release plate.
The 460 is available, as well, in a Gimbal 460 Pro Kit, which includes a follow focus motor and a remote controller to add additional motion control to your gimbal setup. You can likewise use the 460 with Manfrotto's GimBoom carbon fiber extension arm that features lightweight carbon fiber construction for high-angle, low-angle, and jib-style handheld shots without adding too much weight to your rig.
