Blackmagic Design continues to push the envelope when it comes to its presence in the broadcast video world. Featuring an integrated B4 mount, the URSA Broadcast Camera is a field-ready 4K ENG camera that easily converts to a full-featured studio camera. The B4 mount has built-in optics matched to the camera’s sensors, providing spherical aberration correction to minimize distortion when using your ENG lenses. Built-in dual CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots enable 10-bit recording when in the field, and when you configure the camera with the Camera Fiber Converter back and URSA Studio Viewfinder, it becomes a camera that’s at home in any fiber-based studio.
The Studio Fiber Converter works in conjunction with the Camera Fiber Converter, supporting signal and communications up to 1.2 miles over fiber. Well suited for use in OB (Outside Broadcast) vans, large venues and, of course, studios, The Fiber Converter incorporates SDI connectors that support HD and UHD 4K as well as audio via four-XLR connectors. Blackmagic Design’s ATEM 4 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K Switcher and 1 M/E Advanced Panel create a powerful combination that allows you to switch UHD 4K video from up to 20 sources. The control panel features a weighted T-bar for a familiar feel, and a joystick that allows you to control PTZ cameras. Combining your ENG or studio lens, the camera, accessories, switcher, and control panel creates a flexible package for broadcast applications from ENG to studio.
