SmallRig Announces the AD-80 FreeBlazer Tripod System

A new addition to the FreeBlazer tripod series, this AD-80 Heavy-Duty Aluminum Tripod System from SmallRig is designed to be a more portable support option with a lightweight form factor for professional photographers and videographers. Its aluminum-alloy construction makes for a durable, sturdy tripod capable of easy transport to your next freelance gig. The system itself includes the tripod legs and video head.

The adjustable legs can be quickly extended or retracted and then locked in place via integrated flip locks for a total height range of 34 to 75". It has a 17.6-lb load capacity, making it ideal for DSLR and mirrorless camera builds. A preset counterbalance system with precise controls makes for intuitive balancing of your rig.

Perform smooth 360° panning and +90/-65° tilting movements with the 75mm half ball head with fixed damping system and included pan handle. Dual ¼"-20 accessory threads on either side of the video head allow you to mount the handle on either side, depending on your preference.

Included with the system is a Manfrotto-style 501PL quick-release plate, which is also compatible with DJI RS series gimbals for efficient transition between handheld and stabilized shooting modes. The tripod legs fold down to just 36" in length to fit inside the included carrying bag for transport to your set.
