Live streaming has become even easier and more accessible with the release of the new YoloLiv YoloBox Mini, the latest addition to the professional YoloBox encoder/streamer line. Aimed at those who require a simpler, smaller, and more cost-effective cloud streaming solution than the YoloBox and YoloBox Pro, the YoloBox Mini provides the same streaming functionality for smaller productions such as Twitch gaming feeds, Zoom presentations, YouTube how-to videos, sporting event streams, and Teams meetings in a variety of industries such as events, houses of worship, education, government, and ecommerce.
Updated for Smaller Productions
The Mini features the same basic functions as the YoloBox line, but it sports a smaller form, a brighter but smaller 5.5" built-in LCD, and has only one HDMI input. You can still input and embed analog audio via mic and line inputs, stream high-resolution H.264 video up to 1080p60, and view video on a local monitor via its HDMI output. It also features the same fast Qualcomm 660 processor as the YoloBox Pro running an Android-based OS.
Same Firmware, Same Functions
The built-in OS includes the same encoding and streaming features as its sibling boxes, including multi-streaming to CDMs and RTMP servers, SD card and USB source data input, logo overlays, lower-third graphics, live comments, a customizable scoreboard, and compatibility with chroma key green screen effects. The display allows you to view picture-in-picture, side-by-side, and split-view screens, and its configuration screen lets you control audio mixing, transitions, and your stream’s bitrate and codec.
Future Updates
Coming with future firmware updates, YoloBox users will be excited to hear that they will be able to stream directly to Instagram and TikTok, set up smartphone connection for wireless control, have guest invitations, integrate web URLs into a stream, have auto-switching capabilities, and more.
