Pro Mixing Tips: Parallel Compression

02/03/2016Link1

Sit down with Justin Colletti, from B&H’s partner, Sonic Scoop, and learn the ins and outs of one of the most widely used techniques in mixing audio: parallel compression. If you’ve ever wondered how the pros get their drums, bass, or vocals to pop out, parallel compression might be just the trick. Colletti discusses just what parallel compression is, how to go about setting it up in the box, and offers some examples of other types of parallel processing.  We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at BandH.com.

Truly amazing and instructive video. Currently learning sound engineering on a professional level, I know compression isn't quite easy to apprehend at first. This is a good way to a safe approach to compression, or any kind of sound processing by keeping your wet channel seperate from your main. Can't wait to try this out :)
