Setting Up Your Studio With Photography Floordrops
Photography floordrops help you create a professional and versatile photo studio setup. You can install floors and floordrops permanently or switch them out as needed. They come in different patterns, sizes, and materials.
Why Use Photography Flooring?
Photography flooring is ideal if you want to shoot people sitting down on the ground. You'll also need them when shooting any angle where the floor is visible. Floordrops help keep your shots professional and consistent. You can choose floordrops that match your fabric photography backdrops. Some flooring mimics hardwood, brick, stone, and many other surfaces.
Canvas vs. Vinyl Floordrops
Canvas and vinyl are two options for floordrops and backgrounds. Vinyl backdrops and floordrops are durable and easy to clean, and they feature nonslip surfaces. A blank canvas is ideal if you want to create a unique backdrop for specific projects, and you can easily add designs and colors. Drape canvas backgrounds and floordrops across your set to create both a floordrop and a backdrop with one sheet of fabric. Whether you choose canvas or vinyl, both options offer glare-resistant surfaces.
Setting Up Floordrops
With the right material, setting up floordrops is easy. If you're setting up a permanent vinyl floordrop for your studio, you'll need some form of adhesive. Epoxy adhesive or vinyl floor tape are both ideal solutions that get the job done. Vinyl flooring with rubber backing works well if you don't want to glue anything down. The backing provides grip, and your floordrop won't move around when your subjects step on it. You can't glue canvas down, but you can leave it assembled with your mounting system.
