PocketWizard 12288 Overview

The PocketWizard PC1N Locking PC Sync Cable is a 1' cable that allows you to connect any PocketWizard radio to a flash equipped with a PC terminal, or for connecting a camera with a PC terminal to a PocketWizard radio, except the MiniTT1 and FlexTT5. It is compatible with most non-locking and locking ring PC terminals.

I misplaced this cable, and couldn't find any of the backups, still not sure what happened to it. Luckily this was shipped quickly, and is better quality that the original ones.

I have been using these for years and never had a problem. I am tempted to buy a knock off and save a couple of dollars but I never do. Better to stay with a name brand for something like this.

Will this cable work with a sekonic light meter?

The PC connector will work with any standard PC socket. However, you will not be able to take advantage of the locking feature unless the PC socket has the Nikon style threading. None of my Sekonic meters have threaded sockets. So while this cable will work to trigger via the PC socket on the meter, you will not be able to lock the cable to the meter.

Will this cable work with a Nikon SB-80DX Speedlight and a Pocket Wizard Plus? Or is the PC5N cable what I should be using? Thanks so much for the help!

Either PC 1N or the 5N will work. (Do you need more than 1-foot length for your flash to PW needs? If so, go with the 5N.) Your SB 80DX has a PC port. I like the locking screw on the PC cord for more reliable connection, but not totally necessary.
