Key Features
- Converts ACC Cable to Pre-Trigger Cable
- Pre-Trigger Keeps Camera Awake and Ready
The PocketWizard PTMM Pre-Trigger Adapter converts an ACC stereo miniphone cable to a mono miniphone pre-trigger cable. The pre-trigger switch allows you to wake or sleep the camera similarly to using the camera's shutter release.

will the PTMM connector sync shutter with flash?
will the PTMM connector sync shutter with flash?
The PTMM can be added to the remote camera cable to pre trigger the camera, as if you were half pressing the shutter button. It will make the camera react faster when it gets a signal from the transmitting PocketWizard.
If you are trying to trigger a remote camera which then triggers a remote flash, you need a total of 3 PocketWizard radios and you would use Relay mode. With Relay, the transmitting radio and the one in the camera's hot shoe need to be set to the same Channel. You would use the appropriate remote camera cable and you can use the PTMM to pre trigger the camera so it fires faster. To sync the remote flash, it needs to be set one Channel higher than the other 2 PocketWizards. The PocketWizard Wiki has more info about Relay mode. Adding a PTMM cannot replace setting the correct Channels.

question
What's the advantage of PTMM Pre-Trigger Adapter? It says Pre-Trigger Keeps Camera Awake and Ready, but the same thing happens when only using the cable (PocketWizard CM-E3-ACC-1 Remote Camera Cable) with PocketWizard Plus III without any additional adapter.I don't understand!
Remote Release Cables from PocketWizard for Canon cameras:CM-N3-ACC: Canon, N3 terminal, controlling half-press function. This cable is required for auto-relay mode with TTL.CM-N3: Canon, N3 terminal. This has no half-press control, and is for basic remote triggering only. With a FLEX TT5, your camera will not be able to relay a TTL signal to speedlights.CM-N3-P: Canon, N3 terminal. This cable contains a pre-trigger switch. When enable, the camera behaves as if the camera's shutter release button were held half-press continuously. With FLEX TT5 your camera will not be able to relay a TTL signal to speedlights.CM-N3-ACC with MSMM Adapter = CM-N3CM-N3-ACC with PTMM Adapter = CM-N3-PI know that your cable is CM-E3-ACC, but the same is valid.Good Luck.
