PocketWizard HSFM3 Flash Sync

These work great. They allow a novice to work on the basics of portrait photography relatively in expensively. Never experienced a failure to fire or do what is required for the shot. They are not the newest tech. And I for one am glad they are still available, along with the PocketWizard.

Excellent product, but pricey

I want to use an opteca IF500 flash off-camera ...

I want to use an opteca IF500 flash off-camera using a Sony A6500. Will this cable do the job?
Asked by: Paul
The PocketWizard HSFM3 Flash Sync Cable, is not compatable with "Sony" flash units. If the Pocket Wizard trigger one is using is compatible with the Sony A6500 then the synch cable will "work" and trigger a non-Sony flash unit.

question

Will this work with Sony HVL-F60RM?
Asked by: Rei Gill
Yes, this cable has a hot shoe designed to fit the extra length of the Sony hot shoe. This cable can be used with any flash that can be triggered in manual by a single pin connection.

question

Do you have the version 2 that works with Sony multi interface? From Pocketwizard's site: The new version (labeled HSFM3 v2.0 on the packaging) WILL fit the newer Sony Multi Interface Shoe.
Asked by: Kevin H.
This is the newest version of the cable for compatibility with Sony flashes which use the Multi-Interface Shoe.

question

Will the Profoto Air Remote TTL-C work when attached to this cable for sync only (no TTL functions)?Note: I want to put the Profoto Air Remote in this hot shoe. I am not trying to plug this cable into the Air Remote.
Asked by: Danny
Yes... I've plugged into pocket wizard and put the profoto remote on hot shoe; then other pocket wizard can trigger the profoto by relaying through the setup. I do this so I can mix flash brands with my Profoto setup.

question

Will this cable work with Sony HVL-F60M flash units? It says it is not compatible with Sony flashes. Camera is Sony SLT-A99V body. Having trouble with compatibility issues. Will this work with Pocket Wizard Plus III? Help!!
Asked by: jeffrey
This cable DOES work with my Sony HVL-F60M flash, triggered by either a PocketWizard PlusX or an optical trigger. Flash in manual, of course, and make sure the foot on the flash is fully seated (there is a click when it's all the way in there). Should work fine with your Plus III.
