question

Are Canare HD-SDI cables plenum-rated? I don't see it noted anywhere in the overview or specs. Thanks.
Asked by: Bob
Unfortunately, Canare does not make any type of plenum rated cables. You might consider the Belden brand for your needs.

Is this cable able to handle a 1080p60 signal that requires a 3G-SDI cable? I'm a bit confused as the heading suggests that this is a HD-SDI cable, but in the description is mentions 3G-SDI. Is the mention of the 3G-SDI just mean that the cable can transmit the higher signals that a 3G-SDI cable can do, but it converts the signal down to a HD-SDI quality? Thanks

question

Does this come with a strain relief boot? If not, can we have it added and if so, how much would that cost?
Asked by: Anonymous
Canare labels their strain relief boots CB0x Series and they would need to be special ordered. Please either call or email us to create a quote for you.

Hi. How does this cable compare to Pearstone's RG-6, 18 AWG SDI cable? All I am using it for is to connect 2 video cameras to a switcher. I like the fact that this cable seems lighter, not as thick. Will this cable do the same job in the same way? Thanks.
Asked by: Bob
The Canare 50' L-3CFW RG59 HD-SDI Coaxial Cable would be a very high quality alternate. Canare L-3CFW Flexible Digital Coaxial Cable is a precision 75 ohm digital video coaxial cable that supports a full range of video formats for professional broadcast applications. This cable is ideal for HD-SDI distribution.

question

which is better to buy and use on-site ...is it one 100ft cable or 2 50ft cables...please share your thoughts...also is it compatable for AG-DVX200 camcoder??? Also planning to buy this adapter ..Pearstone - BNC Female to BNC Female Adapter. Please advise. Sudhakar Roy
Asked by: sudhakar
A single 100' cable is going to be better than 2 50' cables. Every time you add in a connector/adapter, you are introducing another delay in the signal.

question

What adapter do I need to connect my camera to my computer and record footage? It's a panasonic AWE-650 and it has 75 ohm composite output.
Asked by: Anonymous
I would recommend Blackmagic h264 - this will take you from BNC to USB, and comes with the easy to use BlackMagic software (Media Express) that records (captures) onto your computer.
