The Blackmagic Design Dolby Digital Decoder Module for Blackmagic Design Audio Monitor will decode and enable monitoring of 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and AC-3 surround sound sources when installed in the Blackmagic Design Audio Monitor. The inputs that will support 5.1 channel are 6G-SDI and the AES/EBU digital audio input. Users will also be able to isolate and monitor any one of the 5.1 channels using push button controls located on the front of the Audio Monitor.
The Dolby Digital Decoder Module is an upgrade board that the end user will be able to install in a special expansion slot on the Audio Monitor.
