Formatt Hitech HT100WAA82 overview

  • 1Description

This 82mm Wide Angle Adapter Ring for 4 x 4" Filter Holder from Formatt Hitech is used to fit the filter holder and screw onto the desired lens, therefore getting the effect of the filter that was slid into the holder.

The adapter ring places the holder millimeters closer to the lens not to cause any vignetting on the wide-angle lens. Hitech's rings are milled from aluminum in the United Kingdom.

Formatt Hitech HT100WAA82 reviews

Wide Angle Adapter Rings for 4 x 4" Filter Holder (82mm) is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does NOT fit Canon EF 16-35mm L II Really disappointed with the product description on this one. It does not fit the Canon 16-35mm Mk II L. The lens hood mount prevents the adapter thread from reaching the lens thread. Wish there was a review before making this purchase ...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Manufacturer of this ring needs better quality control. I hate the first review that I write to be negative. All the other products that I have purchaced from B&H have been perfect. The adapter ring that I received was defective, there was no way to attach it to any lens because it was not threaded. I had to epoxy it to an 82mm UV filter so that I could attach it to my lens. The adapter ring is now usable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great adapter ring I use it on a sigma 10-20 3.5 and it fits great. The Hi Tech modular filter is held securely in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not fit Canon 24mm TS-E II This product will not fit the Canon 24mm TS-E II. The threads for the lens hood prevent the adapter ring from screwing on. Nothing on Formatt Hitech's website notes the lack of proper fit for the 24mm tilt shift and other Canon lenses. Disgraceful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doss not fit the Canon 24 TSE. Will also not fit the Canon 24 TSE. Tried numerous times before giving up. However, will fit the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 II. Amazing! My experience with Hitech thus far is that, unlike LEE, they do not have good quality control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit Canon EF 16-35 II I needed this for only one lens and it does not fit. The ring needs more of an inner space gap that will allow it to thread over a Canon lens hood ring. If you have a 16-35 EF II save your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another dissatisfied Canon 16-35mm User A wide angle adapter that doesn't fit one of the most common wide angle lenses. I bought this entire system solely for my Canon 16-35 f/2.8 II. No go. As others have said, this adapter does not thread onto the lens due to the location of the lens hood track. Pretty much useless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit Canon 24-70LII 2.8 The inside edge of the ring contacts the lens hood ring built into the lens and you can't get the threads to engage. They needed to remove more material from the inside edge.
