question

Can I use a circular polarizer with this lens or is 15mm too wide? Just read about problems with wide angle lenses and circular polarizing lens. How wide is too wide?
Asked by: Judy
Hi Judy, yes you can use one. I use a circular polarizer, a basic Tiffen 49mm polarizer, on my DA 15 and it works just fine. Although I'm using the lens without lately it as a test, want to make sure my polarizer is not negatively affecting sharpness. But this is absolutely my favorite lens, renders images beautifully, almost a 3D like effect.

question

Is it for the K1?
Asked by: Anonymous
This is a DA lens...meaning designed for APS-C Sensors. It will work on the K-1 because the K-1 will just use the part of its sensor that is APS-C size. Pentax Full Frame lenses are labeled FA .

question

15mm f/4 pentax lens......what does limited mean ?
Asked by: Anonymous
Limited is the designation Pentax uses for a line of high quality prime lenses, 15.21.35.40,and 70mm. They have the highest quality construction values and optics, but primarily they are smaller in size. Incredible lenses.
