iStarUSA D-400L-7 Reviews

Good case, but needs some modernizing

Case is easy to work in and has ample room for drive options in the front. I purchased this case to run a Plex server and host 10 drives. I was able to fit 2x 5bay 3.5 hot swap cages, and one 6x 2.5 hot swap cage. Good airflow with some modifying. I removed the 3pin 120mm fans and their hot plug mounts, and replaced them with Noctua fans. Also added 2x 80mm fans to the rear. Connected everything to a Corsair fan controller and everything works great. Case needs some updating. Fans and plugs are 3pin and need top be updated to 4pin. Hot plugs won't physically fit 4pin fan cables. 120mm fan mounts are too high and don't push air over the motherboard heat sinks mounted on the board. 120mm fan mount blocks some of the airflow from the fan, it could be updated to allow more airflow. Update front ports to add USB-C
