The Fiber-Optic Adapter converts the electrical sync cord bulkhead of any Ikelite DS Substrobe into a fiber-optic port. It automatically configures itself for compatibility with both pre-flash and non pre-flash camera modes, so there's no setting of small switches or confusion over number of pre-flashes. Simply turn on your strobe and take one picture to configure. This device is a manual, non-TTL unit capable of supporting a single strobe. It has a depth rating of 295'.

The Ikelite Fiber Optic Adapter for DS Substrobes converts the electrical bulkhead of any Ikelite DS Substrobe into a fiber optic port. This adapter is a manual exposure (non-TTL) trigger only. The strobe's output is adjusted using the manual power settings built into the strobe. The fiber optic adapter automatically configures itself to be compatible with both pre-flash and non pre-flash camera modes for convenient use. An individual fiber optic adapter is required for each Substrobe. The adapter is depth rated to 300' (90 m). This unit is compatible with all Ikelite DS Substrobes, including DS50, DS51, DS125, DS160, DS161 and DS200 models. It is not compatible with the AF35 AutoFlash.
Aside from an Ikelite DS Substrobe, other requirements for the use of the fiber optic adapter include one of the following fiber optic cables (not included and not available for sale through Ikelite): INON Optical D Cable "Non-wireless type" L-Connector (or wireless converted to non-wireless), SEA&SEA Fiber Optic Cable (L-type) Product No. 50107, Olympus UW Fiber Optic Cable PTCB-E02, Nauticam Optical Fiber Cable No. 26211 Nauticam to INON, or Nauticam Optical Fiber Cable No. 26212 Nauticam to SEA&SEA. The adapter also requires a compatible camera and a compatible housing that allows use of the camera's built-in flash and has a means by which to attach a fiber optic cable.

With the Universal Fiber-Optic Mount Kit from Ikelite, you have an easy way to add fiber-optic ports to many existing underwater camera housings that are not equipped with them. The accessory features 2 holes that function as ports for attaching one or two fiber-optic cords. The ports are set into a square made of touch-fastener material with an adhesive backing.
Simply cut the square piece to size, removing excess material that may interfere with housing controls, and then stick it to the top of the housing above the camera's built-in flash. Choose an area that will allow good adhesion and enable the cord to detect the flash easily. For best results, the kit should be used in conjunction with your housing's flash deflector to avoid backscatter.
This Ikelite SA-100 Deluxe Ball Socket Arm System with a 1" diameter ball is for the DS51 and DS125 strobes when used with any Ikelite quick release handle. This arm set gives you complete lighting control for macro and wide-angle photography with its single 6" double ball section and two clamps. It accomplishes this because of the high handle and the extended mounting stem design of the bottom section.
