The GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition Camera is 15% smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the HERO3. It also features faster built-in Wi-Fi than the HERO3. The HERO3+ is designed for recording a variety of adventure sports and it comes with a rugged housing that is waterproof down to a depth of 131' (40m). The camera captures Full HD 1920 x 1080p video at 60 fps, as well as 1280 x 720p at 120 fps. It supports both NTSC and PAL video systems as well. For still images, the HERO3+ supports up to 10MP photos with a burst rate of up to 10 fps.

I will be using the GoPro for my boat. Does it have a feature or app where it will record the GPS speed?
Unfortunately the GoPro Action camera App will not be able to record the speedometer through GPS.

can you use a remote power supply with the go pro? is one available?
Yes there is a battery eliminator with a 10' USB cord (also can be used with a wall plug that accepts USB). The only restriction is the length of the USB cord. Useful during playback, but limited use during shooting.

Is there a difference in the quality of the video on this camera when using the different FOV settings (wide, medium & narrow), or more simply put will the quality of the video be impacted by the FOV setting (other than the FOV itself, of course)?
