The 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS Lens for Four Thirds Mount from Bower is a manual focus wide-angle lens compatible with Four Thirds format digital cameras. It provides a 67.6° angle of view which translates into a 35mm format focal length equivalency of 32mm. Its fast maximum aperture of f/2.0 is effective in low light shooting and provides shallow depth of field. With two aspherical lens elements and high index low dispersion glass, chromatic aberrations are minimized and sharp, color-accurate images are the result. Multi-coating on all optical elements facilitates even light transmission and reduces ghosting and flare.

I use this lens on my old Olympus fourthirds cameras and it is now just about my favorite lens. Sharp as a razor and great color/contrast. Build quality is excellent. Thanks B&H!

Advert pic is not correct picture

I just received this lens for EF-M and I'm a little disappointed the picture shown on B&H web site must be of the EF mount instead. The EF-M mount version has an extension on the base so it's basically like it has the adapter built in. This makes the lens camera combo very unbalanced as the lens weighs about as much as the M3 with almost all that weight towards the front element. Had I known this from the on set I would have simply used the adapter I already have with my rectilinear 14mm Rokinon or my 16-35L with the adapter. I did get it on sale (Thank you B&H), I had purchased it during a mood when I felt an extra reason to go on living would get me through the day (was at the day job), and besides I just love having another lens on my shelf so I'll keep... it for now. With that said based on my initial tests here are my observations: Pros: This lens it's tack sharp. I measured depth of field at the closest focus distance (about 7 inches) at f/2.0 to be sharp for only about 3mm. Little chroma, actually none that I could notice Lens profile for the EF mount is already in LR classic (albeit for EF mount) Vignette is very slight and easily corrected by selecting the lens profile in LR. It's so slight I don't see myself using the drop down menus to find this lens, it's just not that noticeable unless your subject is filling the entire frame and whole thing is in focus. Blows the doors off the version II of canon's 16-35mm with the adapter in terms of sharpness, chroma, and vignette. 77mm filter for such a wide lens - already have a set :) Manual focus is great for video Nice lens hood included Cons: makes your mirrorless camera very imbalanced. If you have the original M or M10 it may be difficult to hand hold since there is no grip All manual controls and no meta data transfer as there's no electronics but this is clearly stated in the advert The focus throw in the usable area is very tight, what I mean is there's very little movement necessary from 3' to infinity which makes finding critical focus a little hard. For comparison I've included a photo of the Samyang 8mm fisheye EF-M lens. you can see this lens is quite large.
