Olympus EP-13 reviews

EP-13 Eyecup for OM-D E-M1 Micro Four Thirds Camera (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than the standard eyepiece I like to get my eye very close to the viewfinder. The EP-13 allows me to do so without pressing my nose into the LCD screen. It is more of an eye cup than the standard piece thus blocking more outside light. I don't wear eyeglasses when shooting but I can see how this eyecup would benefit anyone who does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This eye cup is essential One of the problems with EVF's in the new mirror-less DSLR's is that they have varying degrees of ease of visualization in bright sunlight. The VF4 based EVF in the E-M1 is one of the best. Yet, even it does not quite equal the clarity of vision in bright sunlight offered by a pentaprism SLR. Part of the problems is due to backlighting in bright sunlight caused by imperfect joining of the camera eye piece to the eye, with or without glasses. The EP-13 solves this problem by allowing better joining of the flexible cup with the eye or with glasses of a glass wearer. It almost eliminates the effect of extraneous light. I can also see the whole frame both with and without glasses. This is altogether an inexpensive essential purchase with the EM-1 and should be ordered along with it. I would not be without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice eye cup for Olympus EM-1! The rubber eye cup fits the camera nicely. It is soft and comfortable. I do not wear glasses, but the larger eye cup does help a lot when I use it under sunshine. However, it did take me few minutes to figure out how to remove the original one and install it on the camera. Wish the manufacturer provide some simple installation diagrams or instructions in the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best eyecup for the Olympus OM D EM 1. Replacing the original eyecup with this unit provides better adaptation to the eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Eyecup - makes big difference fantastic - blocks extraneous light gives more room for eye doesn't inter fear with hot shoe accessories, cover, flash. It doesn't protrude and interfere with LCD view

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little to big..... Overall the eyecup is certainly more comfortable however its a little big in that it interferes with installing and removing the external flash. Even when the flash is installed it pushes down a bit on the top of the eyecup. Doesn't impinge on the view but getting the flash on an off the camera with the eyecup installed is a bit of nuisance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EP-13 Eyecup for OM-D E-M1 Micro Four Th I love this product has it helps find the viewfinder immediately. The OMD's viewfinder without it is hard to find being the compact camera that it is. With the eyecup sticking out, it helps me find that viewfinder quickly before the perfect shot is lost in that split second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Leave Home Without One It's a good idea to have a spare one of these if you are photographing in the Amazon, the Arctic sea, or the plains of East Africa. Unfortunately, as good as the Olympus OMDs are, the eyepiece can too easily become detached and lost. Don't leave home without a spare!
