Sirui N-3004X overview

  • 1Description

The N-3004X Aluminum Tripod from Sirui is a compact tripod that extends to 69.7", and folds up to only 20.1" thanks to its 180° invertible legs. It weighs 4.8 lb and can hold a maximum load of 39.6 lb.

The N-3004X features a split center column that is easily converted into a short center column by unscrewing the hanging hook and removing the bottom of the column. This allows the tripod to reach its minimum height of only 6.1". The tripod also features a detachable leg that transforms into a monopod when you unscrew it from the chassis and attach the mounting plate. You can increase the height of the monopod by attaching the longer section of the split center column. The tripod comes with a padded carrying case, a reversible mounting screw, and two hex keys for tightening the legs.

The legs fold up against the tripod rather than down like most conventional tripod legs, keeping the tripod head within the legs and thereby saving space.
The center column is reversible for low angle shots.
Twist locks allow quick adjustment of the tripod's height.
The tripod legs can lock in three different positions for shooting on uneven terrain.
Stainless steel spikes emerge from the rubber feet for extra stability in grass, gravel, and other loose terrain.
A foam grip on each of the legs adds comfort in cold weather conditions and helps protect your gear by facilitating a sure grip.
A center column hook allows you to add a ballast for a sturdier setup in windy conditions.

    Sirui N-3004X reviews

N-3004X Aluminum Tripod is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sirui M-3004x Tripod I recently purchased this tripod to mate with the Sirui K-40x ball head. What a combination! Over the last 30 plus years I've used a number of different brands of tripods/ball heads and as far I'm concerned nothing comes close to the build quality, stability and value for the money.Using this set-up with my Nikon D800 and the 200-400mm f4 telephoto lens is nothing but rock solid. In my opinion, anyone looking to upgrade their tripod/ball head should consider using this tripod (and ball head) as their baseline to compare with other competitors equipment.I'm pleased I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUTSTANDING BANG FOR THE BUCK ! I'm a tripod junkie with over 40 years using and selling photo equipment. Over the years, I had 'em all, and this is one of the best values ever. It extends to eyelevel (I'm 6') with out extending the center column. The centter column can be easily split for low level use without removing from the tripod. Compaired to the Gitzo GT3541 ($) it handles the same load, colapses the the same length but with a head attached, gets down as low, and weighs only a 1/2 pound more. Add the built in spike feet, a nice carry bag, the the removable leg that converts to a nice monopod, it's hard to beat for $ delivered. Build quility is robust, adjustments work smoothly, and the finish looks great. I can find nothing to nit pick about this tripod, and give it a 100% recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!! I have used a lot of tri-pods through the years and this one is awesome! It is not heavy at all even with a gimbal head attached. First, it is very well built. Second, it also can converted to a mono pod. Third, built in spikes. Forth, it come with a strap,a bag, mono pod hardware and a great warranty! If you are looking for a heavy duty, light weight tri-pod/mono pod.... This is it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice rugged tripod Was looking for a tripod to fit a manfrotto 410 geared head and this model work perfectly. The size feel right and balance well with the head. Before that I had a 'mefoto globetrotter' but it's top plate was smaller than the 410s, and felt quite unfitting with it too. The twist locks are also much better on the sirui, the grip and feel is very good. The quality of the sirui is way more impressive, and as to why it's less expensive than mefoto is a total mystery... Something not mentioned is that this sirui come with 2 top plates, a 50mm in the bag and a 60mm already mounted on the tripod. The 60mm come also with removable/optional rubber band/grip around it that isn't shown on the pictures. It feel quite nice and comfortable when you grab it from there to move it around. Lastly something important to me is the aesthetic, I wanted a simple, clean and rugged look to it. Since the geared head is from manfrotto I obviously looked into their tripods but I just don't get the direction their aesthetic team is going with, the high tech 'transformers' designs. The sirui feel like a 'tool', a piece of equipment I won't be afraid to over use, scratch, bump or drop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tripod for King Kong The fit and finish of this tripod along with the sirui k-40x ballhead is as good as it gets in this price range. This setup will easily support a ff camera with 5-6lb lens in gusty wind conditions. While this is not a backpacking setup, the included strap does make reasonably portable.Aside from the price that makes it a good value it is comparable to more expensive tripods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice for the money I like the tripod. When I first got it though one if the legs came out completely. I am swapping it for another one and hopefully it will be ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, surperb fit and finish. This is one of the finest tripods I've used. It has the quality of a Swiss watch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and sturdy. With fewer and fewer well stocked photo stores it becomes harder and harder to get a hands on chance to pick to quality gear. This is one of the best tripods In have seen and used in years. It rates up with the legendary TiltAll.
