This EF mount lens cannot directly mount to the EOS R. Even if it could, the flange depth is off therefore you would be unable to focus to infinity. This series of Canon Cine Primes have 105mm filter threads. For this superb lens, a superb filter is needed. I suggest B+W for their water white, polished non distortion glass and MRC multi-coated filters.
